Dynamic Sealing Male Nut for High Pressures in HPLC Works with 1/16th” PEEK or Stainless Steel Tubing up to 10,000psi, Zero Dead Volume The fittings are the best choice if you want zero dead volume with maximum pressure with a hand tightened male nut for HPLC. What is a “Dynamic Sealing Nut”? The patented design of this fitting uses the back pressure of the HPLC system to create the “clamping” force on the tubing. The system comprises a bushing, split collet and resilient polymeric ferrule. How does it work? A small, grooved and split, stainless steel collet reinforces a polymer ferrule within the fitting system. When the stainless steel or PEEK tubing is charged with this fitting, it is pushed against its counterpart in a butt fit by the unique design of the fitting. The higher the pressure, the higher the clamping force. Will this fitting work with my current system? This fitting is compatible with any CPI-type coupler or fitting. What pressure are the fittings rated to? For PEEK Tubing, this fitting normally does not fail even when the PEEK tubing bursts. Check the pressure rating of the tubing to be sure you do not exceed it. For stainless steel tubing, tests have shown that 7,000 psi is consistently secure and can hold up to 10,000 psi. Are there any replacement parts? Yes, after extended use, the only part of the system that needs to be replaced is the low cost ferrule.
